About Us
ANP was established to promote and advance the knowledge and skill level of the newspaper industry professionals in South East Asia (SEA) and was formed on 28th April 2010. It was incorporated in Singapore.
The group was formed for the people and by the people of the newspaper industry, and relies on the dedication, commitment, time and support of the newspaper industry community.
There were twenty five publishing companies that had participated as corporate members from the seven ASEAN nations – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, in the past annual conferences that had been organized. We hope to continue to grow this family.
The committee members are from the publishing companies around the SEA region and volunteer their time to engage with, facilitate and organise the activities for the publishing community. And we hope to continue to add-on and grow this team.
If you would like to get involved with the committee and assist in the activities, please contact a member of the committee.
A BRIEF HISTORY

In retrospect, the formation of ANP and over the past years could be represented by a picture of the sea with its waves and with the sun at the horizon. The choice of the turbulent waves represents somewhat of the turmoil that such organization during the formative, and even in the future, years that it will experience. The sun – a vision and reflections in the waves together illustrates the need to maintain the common vision and collaboration that is needed to form the beauty of the result that the ANP was set out for. And as with the waves in the seas, it is hope that there will continually be the efforts and support from the people of the newspaper and publishing community to constantly maintain this organisation.

In the past two years, it had organized and hosted two successful Annual Delegates Conferences – 2012 ANP Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and 2011 ANP Surabaya, Indonesia. Deservingly to be mentioned are the prior related conferences that were conducted before these two which was the 2010 SEANG Jakarta, Indonesia & 2009 Bangkok, Thailand conferences which spawned the beginnings of ANP.
The program of these conferences are conducted over two to three days, and were well attended by personnel from the respective newspaper publishers of the ASEAN region and representatives of the equipment, material and service providers to this industry. The activities include technical and management presentations, discussion forums, plant and cultural visits/activities, golf tournament and interactive opportunities.

It is challenging organizing these conferences and the reward at the end of the day is the satisfaction and participation of all involved. The testimonies speak for the appreciation and recognition to the members of the respective organizing committee.
The committee of ANP hopes for the continued support and understanding of all in the corporate members, partners, newspaper publishing and printing community and eco-system, as we continue to build the organisation and strive into the future.
